Artist Biography

Eric Chan, aka eepmon, is a digital generative artist blending art and code. A STEAM advocate and entrepreneur, he’s collaborated with Canada Goose, Marvel, Peanuts Comics, and Xbox, with his work exhibited in galleries and museums. His CityLights NFTs redefine digital ownership, INTERSECTIONS transforms weather data into art, and Chaos Bloom is part of the Canada Council Art Bank. In 2025, he became Library and Archives Canada’s (LAC) first Creator in Residence, bridging digital art and heritage.

A global cultural envoy, eepmon with LAC connected with Global Affairs Canada to exhibit his generative artwork, Constellations – The Flow of Belonging, debuted at the Canada Pavilion in World Expo Osaka ’25, highlighting Canada’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, diversity and cultural exchange. He was on minister-led trade missions to Japan ’23 and China ’18 and served on the Canadian Museums Association Board ’17–’21. His digital mural at the Canadian Museum of History in ’24 addressed the Chinese Exclusion Act, and with support from the Bruce Lee Foundation, he created a motion graphics performance piece at the 22nd Unforgettable Gala in Beverly Hills.

Recognized with the ’23 Library and Archives Canada Scholar Award and ’24 Banff Forum ABJ Fellowship, he’s a dynamic speaker on art and technology. Recently he testified before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage regarding The effects of Technological Advances in AI on the Creative Industries.

His solo show is set for January ’26 at the Embassy of Canada’s Prince Takamado Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.
