Deeply honoured to be named the first Library and Archives Canada Creator in Residence. Over the next eight months, I’ll be accessing their collections as a rich wellspring for my new works. What might this look like?
Under my residency theme of FUTURE.ARCHIVES, I’m envisioning generative art pieces, drawing from LAC’s vast data troves to bring fresh dimensions to Canada’s heritage, while also driving innovation through exploring democratizing access and blockchain for provenance with hosted events.
I look forward to collaborating with the LAC team and embracing this incredible opportunity to explore and celebrate Canada’s story—as a memory institution and a foresight institution too.
