As part of a cohort of 48 small-and-medium enterprise (SME) delegates spanning Canada’s creative sectors, EEPMON engaged directly with Chinese industry leaders to foster high-level cultural collaborations. The mission underscored EEPMON’s long-standing mandate that cross-border creative partnerships are vital to building enduring relationships between nations, industries, and peoples.

HIGH-IMPACT B2B ENGAGEMENTS IN SHANGHAI AND BEIJING

The trade mission commenced in Shanghai at the Power Station of Design, where EEPMON participated in targeted Business-to-Business (B2B) matchmaking sessions. Facilitated by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service and Redgate affiliates, these meetings successfully established critical initial pipelines with Chinese creative firms.

The itinerary concluded with a second round of high-volume B2B meetings in Beijing. Transitioning to a dynamic open-house and structured appointment format, EEPMON secured strategic connections across a diverse array of sectors, including museums, film, entertainment, and fashion.

CULTURAL DIPLOMACY AND KEYNOTE ADDRESS IS GUANGZHOU

Expanding on the core delegation itinerary, EEPMON received a prestigious, direct invitation from Tuo Zuhai, President of the China Animation Comic Game Group, to present in Guangzhou.

Addressing the organization’s 2nd General Assembly—a major conference officially approved by the China Ministry of Culture and Tourism—EEPMON delivered a specialized presentation detailing creative collaboration case studies and strategic mascot design methodologies. This engagement solidified an important professional alliance, further anchoring Canadian digital art expertise within China’s cultural framework.
