BACKGROUND

Eric Chan (陳詩亮), known professionally as EEPMON is a digital / NFT artist and design consultant with over 15 years in the creative industry. His fusion of art and computer code results in generative, digital creations that have been seen in fashion, comics to museums and has exhibited worldwide.

In 2018, EEPMON was on Canada’s first Minister-led Creative Industries Trade Mission to China with Canadian Heritage. Between 2017-2021, he served as a director and then Vice President of the Canadian Museums Association’s Board of Directors. His artwork, Chaos Bloom, has been acquired by the Canada Council Art Bank. He was a TEDx performing artist and continues to present internationally on themes surrounding creative entrepreneurship in the Digital Age.

Through collaboration, his work spans into retail, popular media, startups, to institutions – Canada Goose, Marvel, the PEANUTS comics, Monkey King, Xbox, Quantropi, Fung Group Explorium Shanghai, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum are among his clients. He was featured in publications such as Assouline, GQ France, HYPEBEAST, COMPLEX, Jay-Z’s Life+Times, and ImagineFX.

In 2021, EEPMON took over Times Square NYC to launch his NFT CityLights. He made a record-breaking sale of all 1,208 mints in less than 2 hours.

EEPMON will be on the Team Canada Trade Mission to Japan coming October 2023. As part of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development will lead the trade mission.

He is a 2023 recipient of the Library and Archives Canada Scholar Awards.
