Created for Part I, the Mecha Noh Onna XRAY Series of works applies the same x-ray mode to Mecha Noh Onna, revealing the layers underneath the finished face. What remains is outline alone, where the constant rewriting and overlayering can seem chaotic, yet at the same time reveals form. It is a glimpse of a work in process, a snapshot in space and time, and a quiet counterpart to the full mask: the structure of beauty, shown without spectacle.
