In January 2020, EEPMON was invited to serve as a Design Judge for a high-stakes Hackathon hosted by longtime collaborator, bio-hacker and Senior TED Fellow Andrew Pelling, in partnership with SAXX Underwear.
The mission was a radical exercise in “Design Disruption,” bringing together a cross-disciplinary collective of industry leaders to dismantle traditional conventions. The challenge focused on reimagining the future of men’s undergarments—pushing the boundaries of discomfort to engineer a new standard for how apparel should look, function, and feel in a post-convention world.
The event took place on January 18th, 2020, at Vancouver MAKERLABS in British Columbia. By applying an artistic and generative lens to functional garment design, EEPMON contributed to a collaborative dialogue on how technology and creative thinking can transform everyday essentials into innovative, high-performance apparel.
