Created for Part I of the October 12, 2026 National Noh Theatre performance, Mecha Noh Onna reimagines the traditional Onna mask, the young woman whose stillness carries emotion, through a cyberpunk, mecha-style lens. Drawn elements and computer code were combined generatively, then rewritten and layered over and over again, until the face held both its classical grace and a new, machined density. It is a portrait of beauty held in restraint, where feeling is suggested rather than declared.
