Intersections 11

In 2014, EEPMON was invited by Carleton University to perform a live, three-day painting session culminating in the creation of Intersections 11 – Three Days. Clear Skies. The performance allowed students and faculty to observe the “digital artisan” process as a massive 60 x 96-inch canvas was transformed through a unique blend of traditional media and generative data.

The work is a direct reflection of the environmental conditions during its creation; unlike previous iterations influenced by precipitation, this piece was shaped by a period of clear weather, resulting in a distinct visual energy and composition. Following the live performance, the artwork was donated to the university and is now permanently installed at the Discovery Centre, located on the fourth floor of the MacOdrum Library. This installation serves as a permanent creative landmark within the campus’s hub for undergraduate research and interdisciplinary innovation.
