Arthaus Citylights
Lobby Mural 2024

The Arthaus CityLights mural is a generative artwork that embodies the sleek and modern essence of the residence. Created entirely through computer code, the piece bridges technology and artistry, offering a forward-looking vision of the digital age. Upon closer inspection, residents will discover 13 different flowers hidden within the work, each representing a Canadian province or territory—a thoughtful tribute to Ottawa’s role as the nation’s capital.

Commissioned specifically for the Arthaus development, the mural serves as a permanent digital landmark within the building. By using custom algorithms to dictate form and colour, EEPMON created a visual experience that reflects the building’s architectural sophistication while grounding it in a national cultural context. This “High-Tech, High-Touch” approach ensures that while the method is purely digital, the narrative remains deeply connected to Canadian identity and the local urban landscape.
