EEPMON received the Algonquin College Alumni of Distinction for Creative Arts and Design Award.

Background
An alumnus of both the Computer Engineering Technology (Computing Science) and the Bachelor of Information Technology (Interactive Multimedia and Design) programs, EEPMON credits Algonquin College as the catalyst for his interest in the intersection of art and technology.

It was during a Java Programming course—specifically an assignment to develop a functional, coded calculator from scratch—that the potential for merging logic with aesthetics became clear. Requiring both technical operation and graphical representation through strict computer code, the project served as an early exploration into what is now recognized as Digital and Generative Art.

With a career foundation built within the halls of Algonquin’s T and N buildings, the institution provided the technical environment necessary for the artist to establish the EEPMON moniker and brand.

Honoured to be the recipient of Carleton University’s Young Alumni Achievement Award.

About Young Alumni Achievement Award: Established in 2013 by the Carleton University Alumni Association, the award recognizes a recent graduate who has achieved significant accomplishments in their professional or personal achievements since graduation. They will have received their degree, graduate or undergraduate, within the last 10 years and must be 35 years of age or younger at December 31 of the respective year.
These distinguished young individuals reflect the values of Carleton University and set an inspirational example for future young Carleton alumni to follow.
