On August 27th, 2025, EEPMON held a special Pop-Up Retrospective and Preview at Library and Archives Canada (LAC), marking a significant milestone in his tenure as the institution’s inaugural Creator in Residence. The event provided an exclusive first look at new generative works in progress, bridging the gap between historical archival research and contemporary digital expression.

The retrospective featured a curated selection of EEPMON’s creative journey—from his artistic roots and global collaborations to the early prototypes developed during the residency. Central to the preview were works informed by his deep dive into the Chinese Immigration Acts of 1885 and 1923, where he has integrated over one million individual data entries into his digital coding to visualize Canada’s legislative and cultural history.
