Following two successful days at Doors Open Ottawa with Library and Archives Canada (LAC), EEPMON extends a sincere thank you to all who attended to learn about the Creator in Residence experience and the generative art currently in progress. The event saw a remarkable turnout, with an engaged audience participating in discussions regarding the intersection of history and digital innovation.

A primary focus of this residency research involves the Chinese Immigration Acts of 1885 and 1923—the latter widely known as the Chinese Exclusion Act. By sharing insights into these historical records, EEPMON’s work-in-progress aims to translate complex archival data into a compelling visual narrative through generative art, fostering a deeper understanding of Canada’s legislative history.
