In November 2008, EEPMON was featured in Ricepaper Magazine‘s 4th quarter issue.
Ricepaper was a nation-wide quarterly publication founded in 1994/1995 by the late Jim Wong-Chu and the Asian Canadian Writers’ Workshop (ACWW). It was devoted to showcasing Asian-Canadian artists, writers, performers and innovators. For over two decades, it served as a vital platform for both established and emerging voices, including notable figures like David Suzuki, Joy Kogawa, and Sook-Yin Lee.

Ricepaper is still operating, though its format has changed over the years:
Print to Digital: In April 2016, the magazine ceased its quarterly print production to become a fully digital, web-based publication.
It remains very much active today (as of 2026) and its mission continues to be the longest-running literary magazine of its kind in Canada, maintaining its mandate to challenge mainstream perspectives and provide a dedicated forum for Asian-Canadian creative work.
