The Mercury Lounge was an iconic nightclub and cultural institution in Ottawa, located at 56 ByWard Market Square. From its opening in 1996 until its closure in 2022, it was widely regarded as the city’s premier “soul club,” known for its sophisticated atmosphere and commitment to alternative and underground music.
