In 2005, EEPMON was featured as a contributing illustrator for Beautiful/Decay, an influential publication at the intersection of contemporary art and design. For Issue O, centred on the theme “… Is The Public Enemy,” EEPMON created an intricate illustrative work titled, “Epidemic….” that explored the rapid viral spread using transformative, chaotic bird motifs, mutations and worm-like forms as a response to the call.
Beautiful/Decay was an influential art and design publication that served as a premier platform for avant-garde and underground creative culture. Founded in 1996 by Amir H. Fallah, it began as a DIY black-and-white zine before evolving into a full-colour, internationally distributed magazine and eventually a limited-edition book series.
