In January 2019, EEPMON was a featured speaker at UX.Talk Tokyo #49, an event hosted by Yahoo! Japan at their “LODGE” innovation space in Chiyoda, Tokyo. His presentation, titled Design Processes through the Eyes of an Artist, explored the intersection of artistic intuition and structured design methodology.

This engagement at Yahoo! Japan highlighted EEPMON’s role as a cultural bridge-builder, sharing Canadian creative innovation with Japan’s leading tech and design communities.

Using his 100-foot (30.48-metre) permanent mural for the Canada Science and Technology Museum as a primary case study, EEPMON provided a “behind-the-scenes” look at the execution of large-scale public art. He detailed how he managed the ambitious project—from the initial digital coding and vector-based compositions to the final physical installation. The talk addressed how an artist’s perspective can inform the user experience (UX) and design thinking, particularly when bridging the gap between high-tech digital production and tactile, human-centric environments.
