<p>In February 2018, EEPMON participated in the MadeMill Artist in Residence (AIR) program in Ottawa, Canada. During this three-week intensive, the focus was on the research and development of new creative workflows at the intersection of Virtual Reality (VR) and high-end 3D printing technology.</p>
<p>The residency culminated in the creation of a full-colour 3D-printed sculpture featuring over 200 objects. The entire piece—including the specific material colours—was generated using Python code. This experimental approach yielded an unprecedented level of output resolution, which was further extended into the digital realm by importing the model into Unity 3D to create an immersive VR experience. This successful residency has established a new foundation for EEPMON’s ongoing body of work in generative physical and digital sculptures.</p>
