National Ambassador Appointment:
Navy Bike Ride 2026

For Immediate Release: The Royal Canadian Navy has officially named its National Ambassadors for the 2026 – Navy Bike Ride, selecting leaders who embody the spirit of community and resilience. This year, the initiative is championed by National Ambassador EEPMON, working to inspire Canadians to support the well-being of the naval community through active participation.

The Mission

The Navy Bike Ride (NBR) is a signature event that fosters a sense of camaraderie and fitness within the Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian public. Since its inception in 2016, the ride has served as a vital fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting key military charities, including the Navalis Foundation, Support Our Troops, and Soldier On. These organizations provide essential relief, recovery, and rehabilitation services for sailors, veterans, and their families.

EEPMON with Project In Kind unveiled the official 2026 Navy Bike Ride t-shirt and cycling jersey. As a National Ambassador and an avid runner, EEPMON’s design of this year’s “armour” was a mission for him to support the Royal Canadian Navy’s service members and their families.

The Design Vision

∙ Generative Dazzle: The entire textile features a geometric mesh created through computer code and algorithms—a digital-age tribute to historic ship camouflage.

∙ The River-class Destroyer: Meticulously hand-outlining the silhouette of the RCN’s upcoming River-class destroyer. It’s shown cutting through aggressive waves, symbolizing resilience and foresight.

∙ Mecha-Armour: Using my signature eepmon “mecha” style, EEPMON wanted participants to feel empowered, resilient, and protected.

∙ Strength in Unity: When standing together on June 13th at Hog’s Back Park, these individual running t-shirts and cycling jerseys merge into one massive, unified dazzle pattern. No matter how far apart we are, we are connected by the seas.

A Tradition of Resilience

Cycling is deeply rooted in naval culture, traditionally used by sailors to maintain physical and mental health while deployed at sea. The National Ambassadors are tasked with bringing this tradition to the forefront, encouraging participants of all skill levels to join the movement.

The Leader Impact Badge, created in proud support of the Navy Bike Ride, draws inspiration from the naval signal “Bravo Zulu” (BZ)—a traditional flag hoist or radio transmission meaning “well done.”

Utilizing the signature BZ colour palette, the design integrates the EEPMON “mecha” aesthetic with a geometric anchor × heart, symbolizing a steadfast commitment to both social impact and the Royal Canadian Navy.

How to Participate

The 2026 campaign offers multiple ways for the public to engage:

∙ The In-Person Event: A signature ride taking place in Ottawa at Hog’s Back Park.

∙ The Virtual Challenge: A month-long event throughout June, allowing Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast to log kilometres and contribute to the cause regardless of their location.

By bridging the gap between the military and civilian populations, the National Ambassadors aim to strengthen the “One Navy Strong” community through every step, and pedal stroke.

EEPMON Sparks Innovation at the Nippon Institute of Technology (NIT)

Digital artist and strategist EEPMON recently delivered a guest lecture to students and faculty at the Nippon Institute of Technology (NIT) in Japan. The presentation focused on the “Human Qualities” of engineering—specifically how imagination, empathy, and creative problem-solving bridge the gap between technical data and fine art.

Following an inspiring tour of NIT’s advanced 3D-fabrication labs and its historic Museum of Industrial Technology, a new vision was set in motion. EEPMON is currently developing a proposal for a multi-semester Artist Fellowship at the university.

The goal of the residency is to collaborate cross-functionally with NIT students across mechanical engineering, data IT, and digital design. Together, they will extract the DNA of the museum’s historic manufacturing machinery to design and fabricate a monumental, hyper-compositional physical 3D metal sculpture. This initiative aims to collaborate across departments, providing students with an applied learning sandbox that merges industrial heritage with cutting-edge digital fabrication and artistry.

EEPMON will be a guest speaker for the Canadian Heritage Creative Industries and Trade Branch all-staff meeting on May 12. Presenting to approximately 90 staff members, the session will focus on sharing his professional journey to success and discussing the evolving impacts and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence within the creative sector.

This engagement will highlight the intersection of digital artistry and national cultural policy, providing federal stakeholders with insights into how emerging technologies like AI are reshaping the global creative landscape.
